Media Advisory: Tens of thousands will simultaneously take part in Life Chain in more than 250 locations across Canada

Toronto, Sept 29, 2017 – On Sunday, October 1, 2017, thousands of Canadians in more than 250 locations across the country will fill public sidewalks with signs in hand to demonstrate their deeply held belief in the right to life. The annual National Life Chain, a peaceful witness where participants exercise their freedom of speech and expression in hopes of changing hearts and minds of passersby, takes place in Canada and throughout North America.
Participants will hold signs that read:
“In just one hour, a hundred people at a busy intersection, with pro-life signs, are able to communicate their message to thousands of passersby,” said Deny Dieleman, National Coordinator for Life Chain Canada. “Not only has this shown to be a very effective way to inform and/or remind the public of the great injustice of abortion in Canada, it also allows pro-life Canadians to come together and support one another for a common cause, to pray for an end to abortion, and to show support for women and their children.”
